SHIPLEY & DISTRICT TRADES COUNCIL TRADES HALL - BRIGGATE - SHIPLEY Hon. Sec. Mr. T.A. LICKLEY, 14 Carmona Avenue, Frizinghall, Bradford. 7th December 1950. Sir Vincent Tewson, C.B.E. M.C. General Secretary, Trades Union Congress, Transport House, Smith Square, London, S.W. Dear Sir, International Brigade Association Your letter dated 7th November 1950 reference VT/AEC/CW/226 in which you gave your observations on the above organisation was read out at the monthly meeting of the T.C. held on Tuesday last. It was however agreed that this Trades Council register their protest in this recognition of Franco Spain, as it is felt that it is not in the interests of the workers as a whole. Yours sincerely, T. A. Lickley, Hon. Secretary.
