G.C. Minutes 22 SEP. 1937 11. JOINT MEETING OF LABOUR AND SOCIALIST INTERNATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF TRADE UNIONS. 13th, 15th and 16th SEPTEMBER. Report of Joint Meeting of I.F.T.U. Executive and Labour and Socialist International Bureau, held in Paris, on September 13th, 15th and 16th, 1937, was read. Sir Walter Citrine supplemented the report verbally, and gave a detailed account of the meeting in Paris, and the efforts made by the deputation to Geneva in regard to the Spanish situation. A full discussion took place on the Spanish issue, and it was REAFFIRMED that the Council would stand by their policy, and would be prepared to interview the Foreign Minister, but were not favourable to the mere issue of a further declaration at this stage.
