Description
Summary:021-0082-001 HVT/EK/474. Secretary's . 3rd March, 1937. Councillor E.A. Robson, Cardiff Trades Council and Labour Party, Collet's Bookshop, 26, Castle Arcade, CARDIFF. Dear Mr. Robson, SITUATION IN SPAIN: INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE. I have received a letter from Mr. J.C. Harries of the Spanish Aid Committee connected with your Council applying for representation at the Conference which is being held In London on March 10th and 11th. I do not know whether Mr. Harries has had any conversation with you on this matter, but I feel that you will be aware that the Conference in question is one to which representatives have been appointed from the various national centres of countries associated with the International Federation of Trade Unions or the Labour and Socialist International. The Conference is being held under the auspices of the two International bodies, and consequently it is not possible for representation to be accorded to local Committees. I think you will fully appreciate the position, and probably you will explain the matter to Mr. Harries. Yours sincerely, Assistant Secretary 292/946/21/82
