In reply to your letter of 16th October, immediately the insurrection broke out in Spain against the Government, we started a Fund here in order to assist our fellow-trade unionists in Spain, and are paying the amounts received into an International Solidarity Fund that is being distributed under the auspices of the International Federation of Trade Unions. We are enclosing copy of Issue No: 490 of our "Industrial News", on page 4 of which you will find particulars of an appeal which we issued to the British Trade Union Movement in order to help the Spanish workers.
