Description
Summary:1936-09-02 WMC/HVT/EK/468. Secretary's. 2nd September, 1936. Dr. F. Adler, Labour and Socialist International, 162, rue de Laeken, Brussels, Belgium. Dear Dr. Adler, SPANISH FUND. Following my usual procedure of acquainting you with the position of the Fund in this country I desire to infom you that the position is as given on the attached statement. We are having numerous queries in regard to the disposal of the Fund and I feel it is necessary that I should have some kind of report for our General Council and for the Labour Party Executive which would give some idea as to the further support which is being rendered to our comrades in Spain through the medium of the Fund. I should therefore be glad if you could let me have, at your earliest convenience, such particulars as may be possible. will you please address your communication to the Royal Hotel, Plymouth. I leave London for Plymouth today where our Congress is to be held for the whole of next week. We have, however, a joint mooting with the Labour Party Executive on Friday afternoon and if it were possible to secure a reply by return I should be greatly obliged. Yours sincerely, General Secretary. Statement. 292/946/10/118
