Description
Summary:012a-0086-001 EMBAJADA DE ESPAÑA London, May 28th., 1938. Dear Mr. Elvin, I should be very glad if you, as Chairman of last Sunday's "Save Spain" meeting at the Albert Hall, would accept the expression of my deep appreciation, both of the splendid work of organization, and of the spirit of the meeting itself. In these days of deep anxiety for all European peoples, it was indeed encouraging to see such a vast audience displaying their enthusiasm and determination to make a stand in the cause of peace and democracy. I should be grateful if you would also convey my sincere thanks to the members of the National Council of Labour and all those who assisted in the organisation of this most significant and successful meeting. Yours sincerely, P. Azcarate H.H. Elvin, Esq., Transport House, Smith Square, S.W.1. 292/946/12a/86
