INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE, 5th December, 1940. 6. LARGO CABALLERO AND MANUEL CORDERO. The Committee took note of correspondence that had passed between the Office and Lord Halifax in regard to Largo Caballero and Manuel Cordero of the former Spanish T.U.C. Caballero, it was reported, had been handed over to General Franco by the Petain Government, and Cordero had been arrested in Lisbon on his way to America and would probable meet a similar fate.
