Letter F.I.de Sol No. 647 5th June 1937. Mr. H. V. Tewson, LONDON. Dear Comrade Tewson, FOOD FOR SPANISH WORKERS In reply to your letter of the 2nd June, under this heading, I would recommend you to consign the supply of foodstuffs you intend sending to Spain to Belarmino Tomas (who is President of the Miners' Union), Commissioner of War, Gijon. I am informed by the Secretary of the Spanish Embassy here in Paris that British ships can go direct to Gijon, so that, if you can arrange for the transport to be made in this way, you will be sure of the food reaching the Asturian miners. Yours sincerely, G. Stolz, Assistant Secretary: 292/946/29/144
