Description
Summary:030-0079-001 Telephone: Museum 8886 Telegrams: Minfedbrit, Westcent, London THE MINEWORKERS' FEDERATION OF GREAT BRITAIN 50, Russell Square, London, W.C.1 31st August 1938. Secretary Ebby Edwards Mr. H.V. Tewson, Trades Union Congress, Transport House, Smith Square, London S.W.1. Dear Mr. Tewson, HOMES FOR SPANISH CHILDREN. I am obliged for your letter to hand to-day informing me that further progress has been made in connection with the above matter. Certainly no time has been lost and I am most appreciative for the way in which Mr. Schevenels has up to now handled the matter. We will make an endeavour to arrange a meeting with Mr. Schevenels and our Sub-Committee some time during the Congress week. This can perhaps best be done verbally when we see our people at Blackpool, and you will be informed at Congress the best time and date such meeting could take place. Yours sincerely, Ebby Edwards Secretary. 292/946/30/79
