Description
Summary:028-0114-001 HVT/FC/404. Secretary's. 9th January, 1937. Mr. A. Conley, 20, Park Place LEEDS. Dear Mr. Conley, CLOTHING FOR SPAIN. Referring to our conversation just before Christmas in regard to the possibility of you securing raincoats and new clothing as a contribution of your Union to the International Solidarity Fund, I am just dropping this reminder as promised. Should it be possible to secure such quantities that your Union could not face the expense, it may be possible to secure a grant from the International Solidarity Fund to take advantage of real bargain offers. In regard to the type of goods that would be most useful probably odd pairs of trousers would be the cheapest and most serviceable. With your experience, however, you will be able to judge from what may be available as to how to get the best possible value for money. Probably you will let me have your comments when you have looked into the matter. With all good wishes, Yours sincerely, Assistant Secretary. 292/946/28/114
