Dear Sirs, We have received a communication from the National Union of Boot & Shoe Operatives, regarding Footwear on behalf of Spanish Refugees in France, which we assume is the same matter which you mentioned to us some days ago. May we take the liberty of pointing out that the forwarding instructions on the appeal do not correspond with the information we gave you regarding our sailings from Garston to Rouen, namely that goods sent forward by rail should be sent to North Dock, Garston, and goods by road to Cockleshell Siding, Garston. We have taken the liberty of informing the Union of the position in this regard, and also advised them that their instructions to hold any goods received, pending further instructions from you, will have our close attention. Yours faithfully, E. Winstanley, Export Department. 292/946/32/57
