Your Reference: 25th January, 1939. The Trades Union Congress, Transport House, Smith Square, LONDON S.W.1. Dear Sirs, We beg to make further reference to the charges for carriage from Rouen to Cerbere incurred on the last shipment of Dried Cod, Soap, Biscuits and Cod Liver Oil shipped by s.s. CWS PROGRESS to Rouen. When speaking to our Rouen Depot today, respecting the potatoes shipped last Saturday, they mentioned that up to the present they have not received settlement from the International Federation of Trades Unions, Paris, although they have been in touch with them, and presumably submitted their account. The total sum involved is Frs. 50,177.95. If you have not yet already written to Paris authorising the settlement of the amount involved, no doubt you will be doing so in the near future, and thanking you in anticipation, we remain, Yours faithfully, E.
